To get an idea of Ash Gray and the Girls sound on their debut disc, Born in the Summer, one could simply consider the cover art and the album title. The former echoes the art of the late Sixties, and the latter refers to 1967, 'the summer of love,' when Haight-Ashbury became the center of the Hippie universe.

If that's not enough, here's a third clue: Ash Gray covers 'Bus Stop,' The Hollies hit from 1966. It's symbolic of his influences, having grown up in the UK and weaned his parent's Sixties record collection.Born in the Summer is rich with the folk to psychedelic styles that permeated the music scene of the counter-cultural revolution. Measures of Eastern intrigue fill many songs thanks to the presence of a Sitar. Where 'the Girls' come in is as his harmony vocal support for Ash Gray.

Modern day AC/DC combined with ZZ Top making a foot stompin, fat sound, finger snapping, groove that brings the talent back to Rock N Roll. Great Drums, Guitar and Keyboards and spicy lyrics."In Shades Of Legend" A band that expresses supreme respect and gratitude for all the the great artists of the past and present. Our words alone could not do that. So we made this debut self tittled album with In Shades Of Legend as our first song to help us say THANK YOU to all. The rest is just Rock N Roll.

Amanda Lepre's debut full-length album is of heroism, inspiration, and despair. Her appreciation for the stories and composition in video games is threaded into songs like "Undying Hero" (Final Fantasy 6) and "The Gift" (Actraiser), while others are of classic literature - most notably, The Inferno by Dante Alighieri. Her own journey in their quilted creation is chronicled throughout; the songwriting in Beneath the Forest of Error spans over a decade.

Now!Super!

“Telling people our vision of this world, that’s what we always wanted to do… this album is an indissoluble fusion of lyrics and music, it’s a journey through beautiful and bad things that surround us every day!” – Fabio Dessi (Fabian).

Golden Sextion is a hard rock band founded in Modena in 2007 by Faust and Loose: their aim is to create modern and sophisticated songs, trying to merge at best their influences to impress the audience and to gain more and more fans!

The line-up stabilized in 2009, and consists of Fabio Dessi (Fabian) on vocals, Fausto Giovannini (Faust) on bass, Andrea Lusenti (Loose) on guitars and Gianvittorio Vandelli(Jean) on drums: the guys quickly obtain approval and support from a growing fan base, and decide together to enter the studio to record their first album, “The Silicon Age”.

Not for the faint hearted or pussy glamsters and sleazsters, Motochrist play bitchin' rock 'n' roll soaked in the dregs of punk rock with Motorhead and Ramones thrown in for good measure, as well as the odd curveball and melodies and twisted lyrics to boot. 'Live To Kill Another Day' proving the point perfectly, kicking things off on a barnstorming riff that Lemmy would be proud of before 'The Fist' pulls up on a killer guitar lick with sufficiently violent lyrics - This shit is the bomb right here, picking up teeth indeed. If this were played in a night club a riot would ensue, no doubt about it. Never mind the fist, this is like an exocet going off.  Motochrist change pace on the title track with a suitably summery keyboard and Beach Boys melody and harmonies to boot, the cheeky scamps!

Swedes! A power trio! Girls! A name that resembles ‘foursome’! This must be my lucky day and a sure winner, yes? No. Unfortunately for these no doubt very likeable personalities I just reviewed Crucified Barbara & Barbe-Q-Barbies and both were ranging from good to very good so ‘Solitarium’ is the odd one out, unfortunately. Not that there’s isn’t any talent present in this fine band, because there’s plenty. It all just sounds so very… overdone, so over-thought. The sound is crispy clean, the girls obviously know how to play their instruments but there’s nothing lasting going on here. This is rock ‘n’ roll, people, or it should be. As a comparison, Fourever resembles good-girl Sandy from Grease. You know, the blond dolled-up Pink Ladies member played by Olivia Newton-John. And what we want is the leathered-up Sandy that gets touched up by John Travolta in the carnival at the end of the movie, the feline-like one with the endless possibilities and opportunities. Al the rest is boring

XFactor1 was formed with the intent of bringing decadence, passion, and intensity to the people who matter most, the fans. XFactor1’s dedication and strong work ethic proves their desire to be seen and heard and once prompted a writer for a rock magazine to proclaim them “Americas blue collar band”. They wear it like a badge of honor!

With the help of their favorite sponser Jagermeister and through their own efforts, XFactor1 has played alongside some of the top bands in active rock on the Mayhem, Uproar, and Rock On The Range festivals. Xfactor1 has toured nationally with Mushroomhead, Flaw, Psychostick, Boba?ex, etc.

now...wow!

I think it's love again! Hoist the flags because one of the best records ever released has gone in for a service and Mr T has souped up a near perfect 10" record into a hot rod ride of extended tracks that, once you lift the hood and check out the reworking of these tracks, any sceptics will be able to sit back, relax and sigh with relief as to how they've been lovingly primed and reworked.

Clearly benefiting from time away Tyla has stripped the tracks that originally appeared and some of the others that went missing at the time and lovingly recreated them and, in my humble opinion, in many cases revved them into something better than the originals sounded.

“Ein” is the debut album of the Norwegian band RUDHIRA that has came to life in 2010. RUDHIRA plays a progressive kind of Dark Metal as stated by them and I have no reason to disagree with that. RUDHIRA in Sanskrit means blood but I didn’t manage to confirm that the band is named because of that. Starting from “Ein”’s cover, it reminds me of Dune but other than that I think it is mediocre. Concerning the record there are six songs that go on for approximately 40 minutes. The songs have lots of tempo changes and structures with blast beats, calm parts, sitars, galloping riffs and even some core elements. The vocals are usually clean but there are occasional Death grunts here and there. The production of the record is appropriate and enhances the overall effort of the band. The compositions have some very nice ideas but there are parts that are dull and have no reason of existence. The clean vocals are not fitting and don’t help the songs as there is no emotion within. I have mixed feelings about this record and I think in the end that the band has nothing fresh to offer. Even the ideas that they borrow could be used better. They should work more on their next release if they want to go further and not be just a local live established band.
