Fasten your seat belts – Australian heavy rockers CATALANO are back and firing on all cylinders with the properly titled EP ”Back in Business”. The new work offers pure, high-octane energy, showcasing the band’s signature mix of grit, melodic hard rockin’ hooks, and attitude.
Founded by singer Roxxi Catalano after the demise of Aussie hard rock act DE LA CRUZ, for over a decade CATALANO has been delivering some tasty classic hard rockin’ music, with two strong full length albums and kick ass standalone singles, added here as bonus, plus a couple of demos.
Combining anthemic choruses with layered vocals ala Def Leppard / Kissin’ Dynamite, the hard rockin’ street level from the ’80s Sunset Strip, and some melodic metallic riffs, on songs like Stockholm Syndrome, the title track, Reckless Abandon, and Insanity, CATALANO keeps your body moving.
”Back in Business” is released by themselves, and seems there’s an album in the making. It’s great for the musicians the DIY practice, but it’s time for CATALANO to get a big distributor or a good record label deal to put their music all over the planet – these guys need to be heard by the masses!
