This is where Brett began his writing career collaborating with such writers as Nick Gilder, Jonathan Cain, Jim Peterik, and Jeff Paris. Brett wrote his first top-10 single “Waiting For Love” with Paris which was recorded by the band Alias in 1991. Brett began to write music for himself leading to his first solo record, “Nevertheless” released in 1994 and re-released by popular demand in 2012. Brett's second album "Brett Walker and The Railbirds released in 1996", "Lift-Off" in 2000, "Spirit Junky" 2007 and "Straight Jacket Vacation" 2013. Brett's music can be heard on television shows and in feature films; including the song "Something So Real" which was featured in National Lampoon's "Barely Legal" released in 2003.
