Artifact in the world AOR music. Ten years later, things musicians have been released on CD. Fans of Equinox (Baystar), as well as all lovers of good - the collection ( a rarity ) ...
As requested, here’s the rare only album from Indiana melodic hard rockers BRAXTON, released on CD for the first time by Retrospect Records and now sold out. Titled ‘White Hot‘, this is in fact a mini-album as they called ’em back in the Eighties – a private release only available on cassette and sold at local stores only.
BRAXTON had a classy mid-80s American melodic hard rock sound, dominated by clean, melodic guitar riffs and spiced with AORish keyboards synths. Vocals are smooth and all over the 6 tracks we find lots of multi-part harmonies, very well arranged and creating a catchy output.
‘White Hot’ was really well produced for an indie, engineered by Andy Symons (John Cougar Mellencamp, Under Fire) and there was true potential for bigger things with BRAXTON.
