As requested, here’s the very ’80s sounding BOZ SCAGGS album 1988’s “Other Roads” in its Deluxe, remastered with bonus tracks release by reputed label Friday Music.

”Other Roads” saw Scaggs making quite the comeback after eight years away from the industry. In 1976, his LP ‘Silk Degrees’ ruled the airwaves with good reason: a sound designed for FM soft rock plenty of tight arrangements, smooth melodies, and a vocalist praised for his vocal performance and unusual stylistic mix and tones of the songs.
Flash to 1988, this Boz Scaggs record was primarily aimed at the adult contemporary market. ”Other Roads” reached #47 on the Billboard pop album charts. Armed with an all-star cast of sidemen and producers Stewart Levine and Patrick Leonard (each man coming off a respective hot streak with Simply Red and Madonna), ”Other Roads” was an adult-contemporary smash.

Among the musicians involved there’s a good chunk of TOTO – Jeff Porcaro, Steve Lukather, David Hungate and David Paich – but also impressive cats such as Dann Huff, Michael Landau, Timothy B. Schmit, Robbie Buchanan, Giant’s Alan Pasqua, Peter Wolf… the who’s who play on ”Other Roads”.
Other Roads [Friday Music Deluxe Edition Remastered]” includes as bonus tracks a B-side, the original Japanese edition bonus track, and a rare remix.
