BONEYARD return with “Black Static”, a nine-track blast of hard rock and metal released on October 23, 2026. There is a dark current running through the record from the start: thick riffs, brooding melodies and a sense that something ugly is always waiting just behind the next chorus.

“Met You in a Dream” opens with a more melodic pull before “Left Me to Drown” and “Ready for a Change” start tightening the screws. “Not This Way (Joel’s Song)” adds extra emotional weight, while “Blood in the Bond” and “Before the Fall” keep the album planted firmly in heavier territory.

The real gut-punch arrives with “Hanging Tree”, a six-minute bruiser that stretches the mood into something darker and more menacing, followed by the war-scarred “Compass Points to War”. The album then closes by stripping “Before the Fall” down to a piano rendition, leaving the final note hanging in the air like smoke after the lights go out.

It is a compact record, just over forty-one minutes, but there is very little dead weight. “Black Static” feels lean, heavy and slightly haunted — exactly the kind of thing that works best with the volume pushed north.
