Filmed in Dallas, How To Be a Megastar Live! is the band's third live DVD since 1999, and the rockiest in their catalogue. All compositions - and there are two dozen of them - balance between driving guitar rock with off-scale energy and characteristic rhythmic experiments of the Blue Men Group.
The exhibition of percussion instruments, as always, delights with flights of design imagination and play of colors. A cast of sewer innards in the middle of the stage, a mobile tubular version that you can climb into like a cocoon, portable string-percussion structures, especially spectacular spray drums, splashing with colored paints from each blow and spraying entire canvases with bright spots.
