Billy Branigan passed away on March 10, 2022. He only released the album "Make A Move" as a solo artist. The musicians on the album includes among others the members of the band Surgin': Jack Ponti (Guitar, Vocals), Michael King (Bass), Tommy Swift (Drums) and Russell Arcara (Backing Vocals). Other performers on the album are Gary Shapiro (Keyboards) and Richie Finrana (Drums).
William Christopher (Billy) Branigan, was born in Mount Kisco, Westchester County, NY, but grew up in Armonk with his siblings James, Susan, Mark and Laura (Laura Branigan, 1952-2004).
He attended Byram Hills High School where he graduated in 1975. Billy, who played the guitar, toured with his sister Laura's band on her live concerts and also TV-shows. As a producer, he helped Laura to produce her albums. He had also his own band, Bragdaddy, with a friend.
