As part of Sony Music Japan campaign titled AOR CITY 1000 featuring a low-priced reissue on classic AOR / AC albums from their back catalog (many of them out of print or hard to find) we have here as requested, BILL LaBOUNTY second album 1978’s ”This Night Won’t Last Forever”, an LP with that FM radio sound from the era and which delivered Bill’s first charting single, the title track.

That song – and many others – were recorded by other artists from Bob Dylan to Van Zant to Agnetha Fältskog, and while BILL LaBOUNTY never achieved big success as solo artist, he become a successful, demanded songwriter.
Among the top class musicians performing on “This Night Won’t Last Forever” – a really welcomed remastered reissue – we find Toto’s Jeff Porcaro, Lee Ritenour, Leland Sklar, etc, a true ‘L.A. Session’ team.

If you’re a fan of this particular style of music that was produced in L.A. from the late-70s / early-80s, and was all over Top 40 radio pre-“Thriller”, treat yourself to a listen.
A very good remaster very similar in essence to the original warm LP version.
