Beggars Whisky was started after a fatal car accident in which Mike Daniels (Lead Singer, Keys, Bass) was involved causing the untimely death of his cousin. It was after that that Mike realized that tomorrow is never guaranteed and that you need to enjoy life and pursue your passions. After a couple of years of undergoing medical treatment for injuries, Mike felt that it was time to pursue his passion.
Mike approached Jeff McCurley (Lead Guitar, Drums, Bass, Mandolin) about his idea and vision to start Beggars Whisky A band with a soulful gritty sound like Blues Rock (Think ZZ Top meets The Dead South, and Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown meets Beatnik Bandits). Paul Brown later joined (Vocals, Guitar) to add his melodic style and sound. John Cunane (Bass, Guitar) joined to add his creative vibe, and strong musical skills. Beggars Whisky routinely has featured artists and collaborators to add to their style and sound.
