After reissuing gems like CRIONIC and MENTAL DECAY, here’s another absolute classic from the holy grail of the Danish 80’s Metal scene… With their evil, haunting atmospheres – BATTALION were combining the best elements of early day thrash/speed metal with a slower, doomish vibe. You can hear influences drawing from Artillery, Slayer, Venom, Nasty Savage and Celtic Frost. In their short existence, they recorded two demotapes (1986-1987) both included in this collection, sourced and mastered from the original 1/4″ reels.
