Celebrating ten years in the heavy metal arena is Dragonsfire from Germany. Appropriately, they'll do it in style with a new EP called Metal X. It consists of five new songs and an expanded version of Steel Eel, which originally appeared on 2013's Speed Demon EP...
Very nice album by Larry Gowan..it has one of his best songs and it happens to be a song sang as a duet with none other than Mr Anderson of the progressive rock band YES!!!("Moonlight Desires")...anothe good shots in here are "Awake The Giant","Living In The Golden Age"(nice),"One Brief Shining Moment" & "Great Dirty World"
Fantastic disc which is sounding a litlle bit more hard rock than the other Gowan's albums. This one + "Strange Animal" + "Great Dirty World" and the awesome "Lost Brotherhood" are pretty excellent discs full of atmospheres and fine worked melodies. At the same time Pomp, AOR and proggy... Gowan combines all those style to make a single expressive music, emotional and diversified. Great musician, great songwriter, fantastic singer... Gowan is a genius ! 9/10

Speed Queen – Speed Queen (1980)

Hard Rock
SPEED QUEEN were a Hard Rocking French quintet originally formed in Mulhouse, Alsace in 1974 under the name BLACK RAT.
Heavily influenced by the Heavy Rocking style of AC/DC, once they were joined by leather lunged vocalist "Stewy" (aka Martine Himburg), in 1977, they soon changed their name to Speed Queen.
Germany's Syzzy Roxx were formerly known as Gamblin' Crew and describe their sound as 'poser rock'. My first thought is that these guys are kind of amusing. For a start they have a rather, errmm, unusual look (for want of a better description) and whether intentional or not, the bio on their official site is quite funny. For example part of what they say about their growth or transformation from Gamblin' Crew to Syzzy Roxx goes like this, "the Crew was yet accused of just honouring the numerous variations of penetration, Syzzy Roxx go further than that. Political topics are being examined, such as the hostage-taking by full bosomed aliens" and so forth. Maybe it's their sense of humor or maybe something got lost in translation. Either way, it's all sounds quite odd but you can't help but laugh.
