As markers go, the 16 minute title track, split into four parts is just a bit special. In fact, there’s a very real possibility that it might be a just about the best first song on a debut album since “Welcome To The Jungle” in 1987, echoes of the greats from Marillion to Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater and Genesis are all here, but the is something of the melodic rock about this too and the line “I never was the man I used to be” is one of the most thought provoking in years. All Exclusive Glam|Sleaze|Hair Hard Rock
While it might not end up being Kelowna BC quartet The Wild!, the band certainly plays like they want it. With their debut EP GxDxWxB, they apply their no-bullshit approach to riffing and partying hard, suggesting that they were weaned on a steady diet of Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, and ZZ Top. But it goes deeper than that.

Pretty Vacant – Walkin’ On A Tilt (2007)
Jan 4, 2017 18:52
Glam|Sleaze|Hair Hard Rock
With a name like Pretty Vacant I thought this was going to be quite a punk sounding CD (punk not being my favorite genre), but Pretty Vacant aren't especially punk. For sure you can hear some punk influences in songs like "Anything Goes" and "Shoulda Said No" but its more the bouncy, fun side of the punk attitude, mixed in with glam. What Pretty Vacant actually is is more glam rock straight off the Sunset Strip and this particular sleaze rocker likes that!
