very once in a while a true gem crosses my desk for review. Mark Clarke’s new album is one of these wonderful gems. Mark Clarke, for those of you who are wondering, played in Rainbow, Uriah Heep, and Billy Squier, among others. He is a truly talented musician who has definitely left his mark on the music world. His new album is just as amazing as his career has been to date.

After their respective previous bands had disbanded in 1989 bassist and guitarist Thomas Claus Vonberg Tefke met in the spring to a joint session. They were joined by guitarist and keyboardist Harald Möllges. Thomas' old friend Roland Busch helped out on drums. Inspired by Hard'n'Heavy known bands of the late 70s and early 80s, Claus and Thomas were stylistically immediately agreed: Classic, rifforientierter Heavy Metal, with room for melodic vocals and a driving rhythm section.

Luv Hunter band was formed in 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada and the band recorded their only album “Luv Hunter” in 1990 and came out under Iron Workz / Azra Records. Iron Works also issued the album on limited edition yellow vinyl. probably the best moment on the album is the powerful anthem “Dreamwave” with huge riffs and a strong melodic chorus to blown you away.
