Electric Mary, from Melbourne, Australia are no strangers to the music business, touring in 2009 with the likes of legendary Alice Cooper and Glenn Hughes, then in 2010 being the support act for Deep Purple. Talk about starting big. Yet they have only released a mere two albums (Four Hands High in 2004 and Down to the Bone in 2008) and released 1 single and 3 EP’s. Now on their third album release ‘Electric Mary III’ and it’s my first listen to these guys aren’t they lucky)...
An impressive riff for the first track ‘O.I.C’ and the vocals are quite delicious with the high pitched yet growly rock sound. The guitar solo suits the track perfectly with the ongoing up-tempo beat, which makes this track a winner. The extra solo after the middle section adds a delicious fruity sauce to the mixture. ‘Stained’ keeps on track at impressing me with the dirty deep riff to make you shout “Ooooooh!” and the drum section at around 2.20 is pure 80s class as well as the crazy guitar work pissing all over it!
“So Cruel” starts off with a led Zeppelin style riff with clear vocals over it then blasts with more heavy guitars reminding me of a 90’s Aerosmith feel. ‘Long Time Coming’ sounds a lot like the first two tracks which isn’t a bad thing necessarily for the fact that they are both cracking tracks but ‘All Eyes on Me’ stood out with its fast pace, crazy guitar work and the drumming on it is superb! The vocals equally as good with the group vocals in the chorus line. The intro to ‘Lies’ uses the same sound as the beginning of Motorhead’s ‘Ace of Spades’ but quickly changes into a not so bad little number. A repetitive riff and different vocals (a different bloke?) either way, still listenable. Another I wanted to mention is track 8, ‘Bone on Bone’ which sounds again like Led Zep with a helping of Whitesnake squashed into one sexy concoction. By the time ‘Waiting’ comes on my heads already rocking, with the cheesy yet likable chorus and the pubescent vocals it’s another winner.
Ending with ‘American Jam’ and even though having a more updated riff, got me a little bored half way through this one. Not the perfect ending to an almost perfect album...

Album contains film scores, violin/piano/guitar ballads and symphonic metal songs. Album has 13 songs and 78 min playtime. It has all my newer songs and few of my older songs, for full songlist, more info and purchase go to the link on the up 🙂 If you are wondering why artist name is BlackDawn not blacksheep its because I use BlackDawn as my artist name. This youtube account I made many years ago and I started to upload my videos and I started to get views and subscribers so didn't want to make new account 😛 . As base for the trailer and effects I used aquul's free template and then edited it to fit in my song. Free Introduction Template made by AquuL | http://www.aquul.com/ This album has all three style of songs: film scores, ballads and symphonic metal, I don't know does people want collection albums like this or separate albums for those three genres, leave a comment which way you would like ^^ More songs coming in the future and maybe a new album when enough songs finish

It has been 40 years since ALICE COOPER pioneered shock rock and he is now focusing on pushing the boundaries of acceptability once more...this time on HALLOWEEN.
On October 31 and November 1 Alice will perform 2 very special shows at the ROUNDHOUSE with JIM ROSE CIRCUS and ZODIAC MINDWARP AND THE LOVE REACTION
Joining them will be 5 additional attractions... some on stage and some in special performance areas. Think freaky circus sideshow...think scary and horrific...think bloody and Halloween. ALICE IS SEEKING NEW PERFORMERS FOR THESE SPOTS.
From August 1st till the August 7th Alice will be accepting video submissions. We know Britain’s Got Talent, but has Britain Got Freaks???? The best will be invited to a live audition on August 9th at… The London Dungeon, 28-34 Tooley Street, London, SE1 2SZ at 7pm where they will ‘perform’ in front of a panel of judges in what will surely be the most bizarre talent show this country has ever seen! The panel will consist of Alice himself along with Nicky Horne, plus others to be announced. The freakiest and most outrageous sideshows will then become part of Alice Cooper’s Halloween Night of Fear.

Formed back in 2008, and based in the North of England, Morpheus Rising has forged a reputation for lively stage shows and powerful melodic music. The band was built around material from guitarist Pete Harwood, written over the previous couple of years, and was soon gigging up and down the country both headlining and supporting the likes of GUN, The Reasoning and Gwyn Ashton.
A five piece, twin guitar band in the classic mould of Saxon, Judas Priest, Def Leppard et al, Morpheus Rising add a modern twist to British Heavy Rock with Prog, Goth, Thrash and the US metal/rock scene also being cited. The New Wave of British Heavy Metal dragged kicking and screaming into the new millennium. NWoBHM The Next Generation!?
Heavily influenced by bands such as Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden and Alter Bridge both musically and visually, Morpheus Rising produce an energetic show which will keep the old guard happy and show the new generation how it’s done. Central to the band’s sound is the twin guitar partnership of Pete Harwood and Daymo Sweeting, coupled with dynamic and melodic songwriting, from the balls out NWoBHM rock of Lord of the North to the lighter, more radio friendly Those Who Watch.
2011 saw the first line up change since the band’s very early beginnings with the departure of original singer Grae Tennick for a new life in Kenya. His shoes are more than filled by outstanding vocalist and front man Si Wright – whose arrival marks the beginning of a new era for this ambitious and hard working outfit. In at the deep end, Si’s second show was on the Classic Rock Stage at the 2011 Cambridge Rock Festival!
The new album, Let The Sleeper Awake, was released on December 9th 2011, and is available here.

(NCS writer BadWolf reviews the new album from Chicago’s High Spirits, one of the many projects of Chris Black (aka Dawnbringer).)
As I sit here, there’s a million things I should be listening to: brushing up on my beardo/nerdo metal in preparation for SUCKFEST ’11, putting together my Norwegian Hardcore playlist for Invisible Oranges, and brushing up on my Enslaved for their upcoming tour with Alcest and Ghost, not to mention the loads of promo records clogging my inbox.
None of those has factored in for the past 6 days thanks to Another Night, the debut record by Chicago’s High Spirits. This piece of self-released, Neo-Traditional metal awesomeness has possessed my iPod harder than Pazuzu possessed Linda fuckin Blair.
“The power of ‘Core compels you, the power of ‘Core compels you.” I scream at the little glowing screen… and then I listen to “Full Power” one more time. 45 repeats in 6 days. I need help. Islander—this is my vote for catchiest song of the year.
Don’t let that fool you into thinking this is a one-song record. Hell no. Another Night is a 40-minute nostalgia trip that delivers. No concepts, no conceits, no bullshit. Just good times and hard rocking.
Then again, that shouldn’t come as a surprise—High Spirits is (in studio) a one-man project of Chicago metal royalty Chris Black. This man is an absolute beast. He writes lyrics for Nachtmystium when he’s not writing every instrument for High Spirits and another little project called Dawnbringer. (more after the jump . . .)
