Andy Fraser, bassist and co-founder of the English blues rock band Free, has died at the age of 62. He passed away at his home in California on Monday morning. Fraser had been living with AIDS and Karposi’s Sarcoma, a form of cancer, though a cause of death has not yet been confirmed. More»

The Guess Who
Canadian guitarist Randy Bahmen (Randy Bachman) in the early sixties, he organized a group Guess Who, which is the entire first half of the sixties played a bit of composition and Rock and Roll. During this time Bahmen greatly progressed as a guitarist (his skill is demonstrated by the fact that in the early seventies Keith Emerson offered him to join the group later became known as ELP). They are BACK ! After a long sleep, due to the band not only having lost their bassist but at the same time a very close friend, their enthusiasm was thwarted in carrying on as a band. However some years later they awoke from their long sleep, and carried on doing that what their old bassist would probably have wanted them to carry on doing, and that was making music. This tragic loss had also made them stronger, better and more creative in their works, after all they had a good length of time to gather up new ideas for the future! Worth it, it was.
