The TFK project is routed in emotions and events dating back to many years ago. In the late 1990s our formation had just been changed and we were getting through a period difficult to interpreter: the outcomes of the 1996 album “Distances” were really disappointing and Andrea Costanza, who had been Court’s backbone and core creative soul up to then, left the band leaving a vacancy hard to be filled in again. So Andrea Balliano “Boll” was recruited as rhythmic guitarist, he has always been a friend of ours and we were thus able to promote “Distances”” live also thanks to George Merk as lead guitarist. We could eventually feature the future of a new studio recording album . Pieces like: Limbo, Wet of Sky,Walking and Talking and Do you think we have time? (first version of Sun Beyond Time), which would then be included in “Frost of Watermelon, bore to light in that period and were the result of a joint creation between Balliano and Nodari.

Destination’s Calling – End Of Time (2012)

Heavy Metal |Power Metal
You can always rely on the German’s to unleash excellent heavy metal. From formative acts such as the Scorpions all the way up to gut-busting thrash like Sodom, Germany houses some of the finest acts in the genre. When I’m presented with a German power metal act, I’m often inclined to expect a style akin to Helloween, which makes it a surprise when I stumble over acts such as Dark At Dawn or Destination’s Calling, who are up for examination today with their latest full-length release; End Of Time.

SPIRAL – MIND TRIP IN A MINOR 2012

Wrapping your head around Spiral's music isn't all that difficult. But their vivid imagination, that could take some time and resolve. This prolific duo, which has released nine singles and seven albums since 2009, brings atmospheric and ethereal prog rock, near to early space rock. As for the stories or concepts, let's just say that these guys think, well, differently.
At the very least, Aaron Frale (g,v) Chris Boat (b,k,v) are sci-fi geeks, or better imaginative fiction wonks. The story behind Mind Trip in A Minorcertainly flows from the latter. At the Bandcamp link, you can read more about a man traveling in his own mind, or not, finding a beast who eats his own heart, a snake that 'takes half of what he gives,' and girl who seems to save our hero, or not, from the same.

2012, OZ has always been one of the bands that only the underground metal movement coveted and hailed with swords high, but they never really caught on to a more level playing field of recognition. They made a splash with their 1983 album FIRE IN THE BRAIN, a New Wave Of British Heavy Metal-flavored energetic metal affair that won over critics and fans alike. The subsequent albums, however, failed to elicit the same response, and the band faded from worldwide view. Now the band is back with their latest album BURNING LEATHER and a new compilation of songs taken from III WARNING and DECIBEL STORM albums, and TURN THE CROSS UPSIDE DOWN- EP entitled VINYL TRACKS.
Rory Kelly – (Don’t Shake My) Family Tree (2012)
Jul 24, 2012 14:07
Hard Rock
Guitar aficionado Rory Kelly releases his debut album, (Don't Shake My) Family Tree, on North Carolina based Rusty Knuckles Music on Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012. The record is a reflection of his signature sound rooted in hard southern rock and inlaid with blues based boogie that fuels the guitarists' appetite for fast leads. Kelly joined forces with his father, Mike "Pops" Kelly, on the project. The transgressive style of bassist Billy Miller lends itself to a swaggering dynamic between the three. Southern rock fans everywhere are sure to embrace what amounts to Kelly's fresh meditation on the dirty South!
