Daniel Trigger is an experienced hard rock artist from the Midlands UK, who has just released an album of original work called “Infinite Persistence”.

It was in fact Europe that kick-started Daniel’s music career in 1989, where “The Final Countdown” was played during a laser light show at the London Planetarium which a young Daniel attended. Immediately deciding he wanted to make music that sounded “like that”, Daniel formed his first band at the age of 15, and stepped up to the microphone for the first time.

NOW!ONLY FOR U!

Abandoned Faith are a five piece heavy rock band from Sheffield, UK.

Concentrating solely on original material, the band are drawing on their extensive musical experience to write powerful and unique songs that are both compelling and emotive.

Formed in February 2011, Abandoned Faith went through a number of line-up changes until they found the perfect group of harmonious, competent and experienced musicians in July 2011. Things have progressed quickly for the band since then with the establishment of a solid fan base and interest in their music rapidly increasing.

The band mixes folky flute deposits with some harder riffs and very jazzy melody lines with a penchant for progressives. The Frontelfe there with her clear, gentle voice before the march. This metal has rather aloof. For fans of shallow pop entertainment that EP is certainly recommended, as the combo what she does and passionate about their work dominates goes. But for lovers of the iron-sounds are only a few songs or parts in question. No rating. (Andre)

Difficult than in the pages of MelodicRock.it are talking about a record sung in Italian ... difficult but not impossible! I must confess that I always looked a little too hard through the sung in our mother tongue and try to pass off in Italy for Rock Rock that is not the end ... and then because for me the "language of the Rock" is and will remain the 'English!
However, sometimes having to change the mind of an artist and also because of a disarming gentleness as Alberto Donatelli (and many artists have on this to learn that) and a series of coincidences I found myself in the hands of the Rainbow Profile, fourth film of the singer and guitarist Roman.
"... I tried to convey what others can not see, such as a RAINBOW OF PROFILE", this quote from the brilliant architect Bruno Munari (who died in the late 90's) inspired the title of this paper which seeks to set out in music, the original concept of a Rainbow visa Profile.

Oh, so you have a band, that’s great. Wow, look how many notes you can play and how many times you can change tempo…and your songs have so many parts…I’m impressed!!! Now please unplug your instruments, step aside and let Lord Fowl show you just how to be a fucking great rock and roll band!!!!

Hailing out of New Haven, Connecticut, Lord Fowl are the latest in a very long line of Small Stone bands all kicking out some fuzz drenched rock and roll but there’s something about these guys that lifts them a head above their label peers. Yes folks, Lord Fowl are a real find and Small Stone should be throwing a ton of cash, hooker, drugs and booze their way right now.

LANDWORK it´s a heavy rock & roll band that uses sonority and their lyrics as a way to social, political and spiritual expression. All that based on Christians precepts and on life experience of its members. LANDWORK was born in Blumenau, main city of the “Vale Europeu” (European Valley), at Santa Catarina state. Many cultures, from different countries, have transformed this region on an emerging sound, resulting on an expansion of bands from all kind of genres. Created at 2009 by the “cariocas” Jhony Israel (guitar), Thiago Chocolate (drums) and the “catarinas” Rian Rau (vocal) and Abel Dias (bass)…
The band has as a rule to mix all the sounds influences brought by the members. Influences that are even from Led Zepellin to Pantera, as well as Alice in Chains, Sound Garden and even a heavier line as As I Lay Dying, influence brought by Thiago Chocolate (drums). All that mix results on a rock & roll based on American bands of the 90, time where bands were free from labels.

The Company Band's occasional meetings of friends yields another EP of tunes,Pros & Cons. This band of like-minded jammers includes a who's who of recent modern rock: vocalist Neil Fallon from Clutch, drummer Jess Margera from CKY, guitarist/vocalist Jim Rota from Fireball Ministry, bassist Brad Davis from Fu Manchu and guitarist Dave Bone.

But the music of Pros & Cons may remind more of late Seventies heavy rock. The groove is steady and efficient, the melodies and hooks carefully crafted. Listening to El Dorado or Loc Nar, it feels like the band set the tempo to a sipping whiskey slow burn. Yet, the opener House of Capricorn offers some sweaty rock, like CCR in a modern context. Kill Screen even has a speedier pace. In the end, every song will grow on you.

Steve Vai continues the convoluted narratives found on 2005’s Real Illusions: Reflection with his new concept album, The Story of Light— the second installment of a trilogy displaying Vai’s interest in New Age spirituality.

As expected, this mostly instrumental album is filled with dense production, soaring multi-layered guitar tones, and tight harmonies. It does offer some nice surprises. Vai covers Blind Willie Johnson’s “John the Revelator” with a gospel choir and Beverly McClellan (a finalist on The Voice). He also duets with singer-songwriter Aimee Mann on “No More Amsterdam” to great effect. And Vai gets in his share of familiar arena-rock workouts like “Velorum” and “Gravity Storm,” and mellower compositions such as “Creamsickle Sunset.”

It’s a beautifully expansive work that orbits within a galaxy we’ve visited before, and Vai is truly awesome throughout. “John the Revelator” and “Book of the Seven Seals” are interesting because who hasn’t wanted to hear Vai in the context of a gospel choir or black musical theater? Although his spiritual libretto will confuse some, his artistry will leave no nonbelievers. —Oscar Jordan
