Now!mmm...

San Francisco based Doom Rockers, ORCHID, have announced to release an EP featuring 3 brand new tracks + 1 song from the latest full-length album, Capricorn, on September 7, 2012.

The EP, entitled Heretic, marks the first release for Nuclear Blast and will be released both digitally as well as on 10? vinyl.

Commented guitarist Mark Baker: “Late in 2010, after we submitted the „Capricorn“ full length to our label and waited for the release, we realized that there wouldn’t be any extensive touring, so we just kept writing and rehearsing new material. A few months later, we were back in the studio cutting basics for new songs. By the time we finished the business of changing labels, we had way more than one album worth of new songs. We, along with Nuclear Blast, decided it would be a great idea to release a few of those on an EP this year while we wrap up everything for our next full length. We’re really excited for people worldwide to get a chance to check out what we’ve been up to in the last year. These new songs have the classic, anthemic ORCHID sound that people expect from us, along with a few elements that we’ve never shown before.”

Doing a bit of memory, will three years, a great friend of mine, Andres Rodriguez, by November, told me to look on youtube an unknown group, whose lead guitarist was his friend. That kid was a certain Adrian Ramos. Well, ... maybe soon I see the video ... about four or five months, because at that time did not have Internet at home and my brother I downloaded everything from the computers in the university library. Well, it's time, and the only three issues I heard, they were the only ones who had hung, "Murderer", "Rock Never Dies" and "Fire Chords", did not seem sufficiently well executed than I expected , July battery gave me the impression of being uncoordinated, Carlos's voice was sometimes incomprehensible, and the guitars were curiously well implemented, but seemed not to what I promised ... but it was a pretext to extracted the audio and put them on me mp3

LEGEND will officially launch its new studio album, Chaos City, next September under the company and distributing PICAP Actual Records. City of Chaos, fourth album of the band Madrid, represents a firm step in the bet LEGEND did in 2005 when its released his first full-length work, Quintessence (Pies, 2005).
Later came at midnight (Akeloo, 2007) and Horizons (PICAP, 2009). In these troubled times, which appear to be heroes to get us out of the political, ideological, social, economic, and otherwise, LEGEND returns to prove it is possible to fight and find a way.
City of Chaos has been recorded at the Lair of the Raccoon and Royal Sound Studios, produced by Javier Palomeque (Santelmo, Nagasaki), and mastered in PKO Studios by Caco Refojo (Grammy winner). For this record large national artists have wanted to contribute their bit to the project legend and not want to miss the opportunity to work on the fourth album of legend, as:
-Jero Ramiro (Santelmo, Saratoga, etc..), Carlitos (Wizard of Oz)-Silver (Wall, Silver Filst)-Ignacio Prieto (Lost Eden, Atlas, etc.)-Patricia Tapia (Khy, Mage oz, Nexx)-Jose Paz (Santelmo, Koven), Eduardo Ortiz-(Perfect Smile, Ad Astra), C-Yeray

at last i did it!Now!From France...

DreamQuest is a heavy metal band. Created in 1998, by two guitarists Joackim and Nicolas quickly joined by St?phane with the keyboards, the band knew tumultuous beginnings. It is only in 2001 that it started to be stabilized although it underwent from several changes of line-up in August 2004. In 2001, the group gives some concerts and then records the first d?mo entitled 'Falling Life' in February 2002. In July 2002, after having given some concerts, the drummer leaves the band, DreamQuest will remain in stand by during nearly one year. In September 2003, with the arrival of David (ex Total Death), the band takes again the repetitions and launches out on the composition of new songs. But in July 2004, the collaboration with one of the guitarists is stopped. This time, the band does not want a substitute for the vacancy. Therefore, the remaining members rearrange the songs to be played with only one guitar and also go back to the composition. Since December 2004, DreamQuest records the second d?mo which will be born in 2006.

Any fan of symphonic, power, and/or progressive metal simply has to be impressed with the multitude of gems spewing forth in 2012. Seemingly every notable band that has released an album thus far has exceeded expectations, especially those bands whose past performances forced them a little higher. It has been three long years since Italy’s Vision Divine released “9 Degrees West of the Moon,” so the expectations for “Destination Set to Nowhere” were high enough from the fans, but nothing compared to what composer Olaf Thörsen places on himself. Well, Olaf can rest easy. With top notch writing, crystal clear production, and the always stunning vocals of Fabio Lione, “Destination Set to Nowhere” easily ranks among the band’s best releases.

Though many will likely pigeon hole Vision Divine into the power/progressive genre, the soundtrack to this science fiction tale draws influences from a wide spectrum of music. At its true core, Genesis (“The House of Angels”), Marillion (“Destination Set to Nowhere”), and Fates Warning (“The Ark”) can be heard gleefully gushing through Tom Lucatti’s molten keys like liquid beauty oozing through the mesh of Thörsen’s heavy riffs. And like a Maraschino cherry on the top of a progressive metal sundae, Fabio Lione proves why he is arguably the greatest voice in metal. But fear not power fans, your urge is fully satisfied on “Here We Die” and one of the album’s best tracks “The Lighthouse.”

The Killers are apparently Mitt Romney’s favourite contemporary rock band, or at least the only one it is safe for the presidential candidate to mention. Like Conservative politicians in Britain, Republicans are at a disadvantage when it comes to advertising their music taste, at risk of being denounced by alternative bands unwilling to be associated with right-wing ideologies. The Killers, however, have proved unusually gracious.

“Anyone’s allowed to like us,” bassist Mark Stoermer responded. The association, of course, centres on singer and chief songwriter Brandon Flowers sharing Romney’s Mormon faith, but it may also run deeper. Despite their sinister name and edgy image, the Killers are an intrinsically conservative band.

multi-million selling British singer songwriter, who shot to fame with her award winning album 'Ancient Heart' in 1988, featuring hit songs 'Twist In My Sobriety' and 'Good Tradition', returns with her seventh studio album 'Can't Go Back', to be released worldwide in July via earMUSIC (Edel).

The album features some of America's most exciting modern soul musicians, and was lovingly crafted by producer Paul Bryan (Aimee Mann, Grant Lee Phillips, Nina Nastasia) at Sound Factory in Los Angeles.

The musicians included Bryan himself as well as keyboardist Keefus Ciancia (B.B. King, T.Bone Burnett, Elton John, Everlast), Ray LaMontagne's drummer Jay Bellerose and long term friend and guitarist Mark Creswell. Guest vocals come from American folk singer songwriter Grant Lee Phillips.
