In 1994, Kosta Bayss founded APVTH in Montreal Canada and recorded the 'Motorcrash' demo later that same year (with R. Chicoine and Doug McIntosh helping out on vocals). Hating the sound of his own voice, Bayss elected Chicoine to do vocals and play bass (up until 2005's 'Resurrection' CD) but would still sing one song per album himself. Chicoine would stay on board as APVTH's singer/bassist until 2006 when friction between the two made continuing impossible. Bayss searched for a new singer, recording new songs and re-recording earlier songs but was not happy with what he found out there, and so it was decided that the only logical course was to do everything himself. The end result was 2010's 'The Goetic Sessions: Gateways to the Necropolis', a collection of old and new songs which varied in styles (as Bayss wrote for various potential new singers). APVTH operates on a budget of $0 and everything is done at no cost. Bayss is currently working on the followup CD, 'The Necropolis' which is set for a 2011 release... .
