Formed in the ’80s but actually active on record since 2010, Swedes ANGELINE have been delivering quality Melodic Rock on their four albums to date. Now the the four-piece is releasing “Rhythm Of One“, a beautiful crafted new collection of songs in the classic Scandinavian style.

ANGELINE prefer quality over quantity, and we have here 10 tracks all over 38 minutes, effective, catchy and very enjoyable, all finely produced, mixed & mastered.
‘Peace Love & You’ kicks the album off into gear, with clean sturdy melodic guitars, drums, and keyboards, and then we are off into to stomping catchy arena hard rock. This is a Bon Jovi / Gotthard style melodic hard rocker with killer enjoyable energy and driven vocals from Joachim Nilsson. The band sound great and this is a fun catchy song that you will be singing along to from the start.
The heavier ‘Got Me Running’ flows solid guitar vibes, this chorus on track is fast paced with a Winger vibe, the guys sound energetic and fresh, super catchy slick song. ‘Something’s Gotta Give’ leans toward an AOR texture thanks to the keyboard which Joachim also performs. This track is also melodic with a catchy fun chorus that you will be singing along to with its FM vibe, Joachim vocally has that silky Steve Overland texture on this song.

Another catchy number with a Bon Jovi slant is the excellent ‘Now You See Me (Now You Don’t)’, the guitar work is crisp with fabulous vocals from Joachim. This track has a more melodic AOR feel, its ridiculously smooth and in an ideal world should be riding high up the charts, this is a killer track, AOR fans are going to go nuts.
‘Hope Love & Everything’ is a stomping groove based classic hard rock with a retro vibe, this is one of the album standouts that sees Joachim hitting high notes against impressive musicianship. The whole band also dive in with added background vocals, and the guitars have a Slash edge vibe to them, superb song, tons of energy.

Next up is the album’s title track ‘Rhythm Of One’ with a little grittier vocals, its catchy and fast paced with flashy guitar solos with a Dokken inspired scales. ‘Can’t Get Enough’ is catchy ’80s with thumping bass work from Ulf Nilsson, the chorus is bright with melodic AOR tones, this is another one of the album’s best songs.
‘When We Were Young’ is another killer rocker, this is tons of fun with a glorious melodic summery melodic chorus – again you will be singing along to this, the vocals here have that Def Leppard like smoothness – simplified and perfectly played.

‘Heal’ is smoother catchy and melodic with crisp guitars coupled with smooth vocals. It’s faster paced and packs a lot of energy. The album ends with the bass pumping, drum rollockin’ guitar fueled high energy hard rocker ‘Til’ The Bitter End”, this is catchy and heavier with killer chorus coupled with fab fun musicianship with intense guitar riffs and vocals. The lyrics are also fun and you will again be singing along to this ditty, there a bit of Danger Danger influences with this one.

‘Rhythm Of One’ is a another strong melodic hard rock album from Angeline, with touches of polished Scandi AOR. The album is well produced and shows the band maturing very nicely – this is one of the best melodic rock / AOR albums of the past few months.
