As a fitting tribute to the great David A. Saylor (RIP), here’s one of his last vocal appearance in the, by the way, excellent Andy Rock recent solo album “This Time“, in this Japanese Edition featuring 2 bonus tracks, now out of print ANDY ROCK, founder member of AORsters Wild Rose, performed all instruments except the lead vocals and the drums, and wrote all of the songs on his “This Time” except 2 tracks in which Dirty Haris (Wild Rose) helped him with the lyrics.

Having the excellent David A. Saylor doing all lead vocals elevates “This Time” above the bar, additionally the presence of a ‘real’ drummer in Vaggelis Domanos (ex Wild Rose) results into an album with an awesome sound and a true ’80s AOR feel.
Just think a mix of Wild Rose and David A. Saylor solo albums… you can’t go wrong, this is quality stuff.

Such magical tracks as the first 3 of ‘What Does It Take’, ‘Give Me A Reason’ and ‘You’re Gone’ should be more than enough to put a big smile on your face, plenty of melodic riffs, synth atmospheres, smooth vocals and catchy choruses.
