After the release of Fine Fine Line in 1984, Andy Fraser played bass at a performance with former Free colleague Paul Rodgers at Woodstock '94, but besides that he kept a low profile until 2005 when he released Naked... and Finally Free. Among the artists featured are Michael Landau, Tommy Henriksen and Jeff Pilson.
Songwriting became Fraser's main trade, and artists such as Joe Cocker, Chaka Khan, Ted Nugent, Paul Carrack, and Rod Stewart eventually covered Fraser's song work.
In 2006, he made his first public appearance since 1994 with two shows in California.
