Jeff Waters (Annihilator) will release three solo albums under the name Amerikan Kaos. The first part, Armageddon Boogie, will be released on Friday — just four days after it was first announced.
After 35 years in metallers ANNIHILATOR and 17 studio records, founder and guitarist JEFF WATERS finally found the time for his solo record. The vehicle is his side band AMERIKAN KAOS, and there will be not only one album, but three! The second will appear 2025, and the thirs, 2026.
But let’s go now with the upcoming first, entitled “Armageddon Boogie“, and musicially it’s completely different to ANNIHILATOR. Its title give some hint; this is late ’70s / ’80s influenced bluesy hard rock with some classic rock feel, of course driven by a killer guitar work. Think classic era Van Halen.
Jeff wanted to have that Alex Van Halen kind of groove, he’s one of his favourite drummers. Talented Brian Tichy (The Dead Daisies) play all drums here, and kills. On lead vocals there’s the fantastic Chandler Mogel (Outloud), experienced Bob Katsionis (Firewind) played keyboards, while the amazing Canadian Marc LaFrance – who worked on probably most songs you remember from the 80’s and 90’s from ‘Living on a Prayer’ to ‘Doctor Feelgood’, provides harmony vocals.
Add to that legend Mike Fraser involved with the sound, and you have a winner.
You’ll be surprised by AMERIKAN KAOS’ : if you like Winery Dogs, Van Halen, DLR solo, etc, you will love “Armageddon Boogie”.
