New rock with a classic hard rock feel and sound. Entertaining and thought provoking lyrics, ranging from fun feel good stuff, to real life situations in today's world, to the value of using hard work and dedication to overcome adversity.

As the children grew out of diapers, Alexx took a full-time job as a flooring salesman, and was doing well in the business. As time passed, Alexx began losing his voice, and did not know why, because he did not feel ill. Eventually, he began to loose his ability to speak, which then progressed to having major coughing attacks during his sales presentations, to no longer being able speak at all. At this point, he finally went to see his doctor, who referred him to a throat specialist.

The specialist immediately discovered a large tumor on Alexx's vocal chords and scheduled surgury to remove it. Thankfully, the biopsy was negative, meaning the tumor was benign. After several weeks of communication only in writing and through sign language, his voice began to return and eventually he regained his speaking voice. It took over a year to begin regaining his singing voice.

While raising the three kids, now ages 8, 10 and 12, Alexx also ran a full-time flooring business and worked 40-60 hours per week on the music at his business and at home, refusing to give up on his dreams. Finally, as the calander rolled by, he new that the perfect time had finally arrived to undertake this endeavor.

Alexx worked underground in his "Dungeon" for four years, re-developing his skills on multiple instruments, and writing new songs for the cd. By May of 2012, Alexx saved and put away enough money to record the cd.

Alexx booked time at Clap of Thunder Studio to begin recording. As fate would have it, two days before entering the studio, he came down with the flu. Having aready rescheduled the recording once for financial reasons, Alexx decided to proceed with the project. The plan was to have his former drummer Rick lay down the drum tracks, and Alexx would do the rest himself.

During the first six day week in the studio, Alexx was very ill, but pushed himself and worked his butt off to get the work done, running on flu medication, ibuprophen, hot tea and healthy meals. He managed to get all the basic tracks done during the first six days, including working with Rick on the drum tracks and recording himself all the rythym guitars, lead guitars and the bass guitar on seven of the ten songs.

Gabe Gonzalez, the studio manager and head engineer, and a great musician, volunteered to play the acoustic guitar, lap steel guitar and bass guitar on the remaining three songs. Alexx happily accepted Gabe's generous offer, and Gabe did an amazing job on everything he played!

After the basic tracks were complete, Alexx returned to the studio to re-do the lead guitar solos, and then eventually returned again to lay down the vocal tracks, after his voice finally returned. The end result of all this is Alexx, Escaping the Dungeon (The Dungeon is what Alexx calls his rehearsal space in the rear portion of his business.) The CD has received nothing but positive feedback and reviews since it's release and is selling well. Buy it and enjoy it!
