Let us begin this review in a different way. Sometimes you don’t like a band after having listened to them for the first time, then you don’t try their other albums. Or simply you are not interested in a particular band for any reason.

Well, let’s take METAL CHURCH as example. Perhaps you knew the band from their early ’80s, most famous albums, and you don’t liked their musical style at all. Or perhaps you had read somewhere that METAL CHURCH is one of the pioneers from the American thrash metal genre, and then you’re not interested in the band and never tried one of their LP’s.
If you fit into any of the above, but you like classic, traditional melodic metal, NWOBHM style heavy metal with atmospheres, then you should listen to METAL CHURCH’s 2004 ‘comeback’ album “The Weight Of The World”.
Especially this ”The Weight Of The World (Remastered 2025)” reissue, sonically much better and featuring a fresh cover art.

With a new lead singer in Ronny Munroe, METAL CHURCH returned in 2004 and surprised the entire metal community: “The Weight Of The World” is pure New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, early 80s-style songwriting wise album, think Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath / Dio, mixed with Balance Of Power, Jorn / Millennium. And folks, there’s some awesome songs on offer here.
