Sweden’s Rock force ANDY AND THE ROCKETS are releasing their new album ”Casino”, solidifying their place in the contemporary Scandinavian Hard Rock landscape.
The band from Insjön / Leksand in Dalarna county started a decade ago with their music having a slight influence from rockabilly but evolved towards a moodier and heavier rock than showcased on their debut album. National winner of Swedish Radio (Sveriges Radio) music contest P4 Nästa (2022) with the song “The Day Our Music Died”, ANDY AND THE ROCKETS turned heads from many record labels.
For this 4th album, ANDY AND THE ROCKETS were looking for a sharper melodic hard rock sound & style, and they found a pot of gold: talented Eclipse mastermind Erik Mårtensson partnered with the band co-writing the songs and producing.
You can tell Mårtensson shaped ANDY AND THE ROCKETS sound and the guitars blaze, the drums are huge and the vocals hit you in the face. ”Casino” rocks, not far away from the current Eclipse sound, adding some slow atmospheres on some songs.
