While has been bootlegged many times since released in 1988, NUCLEAR ASSAULT second album “Survive” never has been officially reissued due to legal disputes. Now 2024 NUCLEAR ASSAULT got the rights of the album and are releasing ”Survive [Remastered Reissue 2024]”.
Propelled by the single ‘Brainwashed’, ”Survive” was the album that broke NUCLEAR ASSAULT into the thrash metal mainstream, and was their first to enter the Billboard 200, reaching number 145.
For most fans, ”Survive” is NUCLEAR ASSAULT finest moment, or at least, their most ‘true thrash’ recording, epitomized by the lyrically anti-mainstream media rant ‘Brainwashed’. A record that shows the band enlarging their sound beyond the first few tentative progressive steps the band took on debut LP The Plague.
The album also includes a cover of Led Zeppelin’s classic ‘Good Times Bad Times’, also showcasing their classic rock roots.

I call bullcrap, this is not remastered. It’s the same version as the unofficial one from 2014. They may have solved their legal issues but they most certainly have not paid anyone to remaster it. Why? They have no money and no one buys this stuff anymore. At least it’s on Spotify now, so people won’t forget what great thrash sounds like.
