As requested, now here’s the other Bad Reputation Records remaster of SLEEZE BEEZ, their 1987’s album “Look Like Hell“, including bonus tracks. The album was only released on local Dutch record label 21 Records and in Germany, and this is the first time “Look Like Hell” is being reissued, after decades for fans trying to get a used CD copy.

“Look Like Hell” is the first SLEEZE BEEZ album, and they get a record contract only a few months after since formed, as the five members already had experince in the Dutch rock scene and contacts with the music industry. Singer ‘Tiger’ was the frontman of cult melodic metal act White Heat (featured at plotn08), guitarist Chriz van Jaarsveld played with Picture, guitarist Donny van Spall & bassist Mr. Ed Jongsma with Monroe, and drummer Jan Koster used to play with Highway Chile.

While this debut album was only released regionally in 1987, Sleeze Beez were beginning to make people take notice. Sleeze Beez managed to fuse the sounds of AC/DC and early Def Leppard to create their own unrelenting brand of hard rock. Add a the same dose of second half of the 80s American glam metal sound, and you have “Look Like Hell”.

This album is clearly a work of youth, ‘street-level’ in its delivery. Sleeze Beez would refine their sound on the next album, the excellent ‘Screwed, Blued, & Tattooed’, but this debut has its charm, fresh, energetic, and pretty dirty n’ fun.
Highly Recommended
