Artur Menezes started doing shows in the local scene, gained recognition, and had the opportunity to make a name for himself abroad. I believe that he passed through Argentina and then managed to settle in the United States for good. I also heard that in one of those disputes for the best guitarist of the genre, he was in second place, second only to Philip Sayce. He is really a pride of the Brazilian Northeast, specifically our beloved land, Fortaleza – Ceará.

Here we have great blues musicians and I could name many, many of them. However, if I could indicate one, as good as Artur Menezes, who is still active doing many, many shows weekly, but who has not yet received due recognition, I would indicate Felipe Cazaux. Search the streams and post here as disclosure. Maybe a label like that doesn’t give the guy a chance. Just for information, Felipe Cazaux was born in São Paulo, but most of his life he lived and solidified his career here in Fortaleza, Ceará.
