Sanctuary Records is releasing a new MOTORHEAD EP titled “Enter Sandman“, including, of course, the band’s own version of Metallica’s classic song. Many artists have done their take on “Enter Sandman”, but none as good as Lemmy & Co. Motorhead churns out a slightly punkier, raspier-throated version of their disciples biggest hit, and we’re sure Metallica loved it more than anybody else! Imagine having one of your heroes cover your song?

This is indeed a covers release, as while we find “R.A.M.O.N.E.S.” written by Lemmy to their friends and contemporaries the Ramones, but there’s also Motorhead’s rocking tribute to Phil Lynott performing Thin Lizzy’s classic ‘Rosalie’ Live at Montreux, iconic Hawkwind 1972’s ‘Silver Machine’, and a noisy version of Sex Pistol’s ‘God Save the Queen’.
We miss you Lemmy
