Back in 2013 Dutch Melodic hard rockers REBELSTAR surprised with a terrific set of songs on their album “II” fully praising the ’80s sound from the genre. Featuring ex-AFTER FOREVER drummer Andre Borgman helping in production and some members of great band SLEEZE BEEZ appearing as guests, “II” delivered a crisp, tight collection of wonderful songs very well produced.
That album titled “II” meaning there was a previous effort. And indeed, REBELSTAR debut album is titled ”Permanent Disaster”, originally appeared 2010 with poor distribution.
Now 2023 lead vocalist / guitarist Serge Naberman (the band is still active) is reissuing ”Permanent Disaster” for all us melodic hard rock fans rejoice. This is just another juicy slice of awesome songs wrapped by a bright production and a sound like a mix of 1988 PRETTY MAIDS, early JADED HEART and SLEEZE BEEZ’s catchiness.
Musically these guys are second to none, production is crisp, and of course you need good songs for the enterprise: “Permanent Disaster” packs 10 rockets of pure class, punchy Euro Melodic Hard Rock of the highest caliber.
