Formed in 2020 by longtime friends who share a passion for music, TARMAT born during the pandemic. These talented musicians would create an inspiring collection of classic melodic AOR songs, the results being their dynamic ”Out Of The Blue” debut endeavor.

The album was released by themselves past year, and now, impressed by their quality, Frontiers Music has signed the band and while they work on a new LP, the label is reissuing ”Out Of The Blue” with two previously unreleased tracks as bonus.
Now with major label support and this fresh reissue, TARMAT will have world-wide exposure, and deservedly to, as ”Out Of The Blue” is a wonderful album full of melodic AOR songs.
With a clear nod to the ’80s yet updated sound, Tarmat’s music is influenced by varied acts from across rock’s spectrum such as Journey, Boston, Europe, Van Halen, Toto, etc.

Based out of Brazil and ready to present their compositions to the world, Tarmat takes everything seriously and professional from arrangements to production, and displaying a mature musicianship. Just listen to opener ”Backbone Feeling”; parping keys / synths in the best ’80s AOR tradition and melodic guitar lines plus clean vocals.
Next we find title track, ”Out of the Blue”, a midtempo tune bringing back that 1982 magic with smooth vocals and atmospheres. “Moving Backwards” is a melodic rock ballad with clean guitar work and a production style inspired by the classic American FM Radio, with some REO Speedwagon on it.

Then there’s the dynamic melodic rocker “Gibberish” including some pop in the verses, this time quite British. On ‘Rosetta Stone’ Tarmat press the pedal for a catchy, upbeat melodic rock tune rich in harmony vocals and sharp guitars. Then “Dinner’s on the House” is a delicious poppish rocker with a late ’80s / early 90s feel, while the short, acoustically based ‘The Knight’ is a solid tune and some kind of an homage to classic Kansas.

While self-produced, TARMAT’s “Out Of The Blue” is an impressively sounding debut, mastered in Sweden by Ronny Milianowicz (ShadowQuest’s drummer). It’s hard to record an ’80s AOR inspired album with the proper sound, but the guys managed to obtain a quality product, and music-wise, very strong and entertaining-melodic.
Highly Recommended new band.
