”The Site” is the debut album by Barcelona based group TYBURN TREE, a Hard Rock band founded in 2021 by Jordi Marques (Guitar) and Peter Dijksterhuis (Keyboards) with the desire to create a classsic sounding album from the genre. With the addition of vocalist Wenderson D’Paula, Alex Marqués (Bass) and Michel Solves (Drums), all musicians with more than three decades of experience in the business.
TYBURN TREE’s music is classic hard rock with a sound reminiscent of Rainbow, Deep Purple and Huriah Heep. However’s there’s not stylistic limitations, and as they don’t have a record label pressure, they do the music they wanto to.
”The Site” sounds & feel authentic, organic, real traditional hard rock played from the heart and straight from the amp.
Tyburn’s ‘tree’ was a wooden gallows where criminals were hanged to death. The site, operational for over 650 years, became renowned as the principal location for public executions in London.
Songs like ‘Black Out’, ‘Gun Powder’, ‘Don’t Turn Me Away’ and ‘The End Of The Road’ showcases how heterogeneous album ”The Site” is; Deep Purple, Rainbow, Bad Company, Free, even vocal harmonies ala Queen.
But the disc is cohesive as a whole: old-school classy hard rock, very well recorded and produced.
You know, guitar riff & solos with a ‘valve sound’, Hammond organs, fat bass and a steady drum work, plus classic whisky-soaked vocals to deliver a fine collection of timeless classic rock.
