The Menace is a kind of cult-band for underground Vicenza and the leap after quotatissimo Quake Metal EP (2003), could come with the much awaited debut album, Heavy Lethal present here, a title that summarizes perfectly pride metalhead and the impact force of five defenders our own. A product that will appeal to fans of Judas Priest, as the period between the late seventies and early eighties, for instance. Powerful, oriented to certain nuances epic but at the same visceral and abrasive. To all this must be added a strong dash of speed, aimed at making the basic recipe of British bikers even longer and has a speed impact. Our show would not be that of a heavy crude and direct, clearly inspired by that of the legendary act of Birmingham and clinging to rocky and slippery riffs, rhythms and a
stalwart vocalism that hints at one of Rob Halford in all respects and when it comes to using a harsher tone that when it comes to engage in sharp piercing. Devotion to the Metal God is, in some cases, even exaggerated, with the similarity voice nothing short of amazing. The two guitarists, Darius and Alexander Vicariotto Fioraso, divide solos shining, relatively simple and direct, but hot enough to make the listener tremble, even the most demanding, in general, the structure of the piece is linear and grim, as the genre in its primordial state claims no-nonsense or technicality particular, as a sound casting of steel, genuine and free of contamination. Speaking of sounds, however, the band has made a specific choice of style, opting for an analog recording, without filters or artificial adjustments. Having no commercial ambition, in fact, training tricolor preferred to give a realistic picture of himself, giving a hard sound as true and fair view of the express live at the cost of vintage look. Lovers of modern sounds and production iperlaccate may not appreciate this courageous stance, while the defenders hardened and loved the flavor eighties will appreciate this veritable crusade against the computer music. Do not ask the Menace stylistic originality, though: they sound just like in the eighties and are rooted even in the 70's.
