The Dirty Pearls are not a secret in New York City. With a high energy stage presence, sold out headlining shows, and envied opening slots for giant bands (see Cinderella, KISS, Scott Weiland and Bret Michaels), The Dirty Pearls have become a rock and roll staple in the Northeast. With promise for some time of a full album, that time has finally come -- for their loyal fan base, the album Whether You Like It Or Not, has been well worth the wait. For everyone else, allow me to introduce The Dirty Pearls.

The album hits hard with the opening title track, "Whether You Like It Or Not", complete with ripping guitars and in-your-face attitude that bring to mind The Clash. The next song, "Who's Coming Back To Who", is a combination of everything this band does well coming together -- the guitars are heavy, the timing is on, and the "pop" hook is addictive. Bands will spend their careers trying to write a song as catchy as this one, but for The Dirty Pearls this is one of several on the album. Case in point, the next song "Caffeine And Gasoline" -- here the lyrics celebrating a "punk rock reign" speak volumes. For the listener this is the best way I can describe this band's music...
