After Colombia, it is this time in Italy that the young French label Steel Shark Records takes us for a new discovery just as Heavy Metal as the first. GENGIS KHAN is originally from the Bologna region and proudly sports a fairly classic style, but full of passion and infectious energy inviting a warm headbanging.
Founded and still guided by Frank Leone, singer and bassist of the group since its beginnings in 2011, GENGIS KHAN already has an album and a digipack demo to its credit. And "Colder Than Heaven" is also a bit of a renaissance for the Italians, who today evolve under a powerful and well-balanced quartet formula.
In a pure and hard Heavy Metal register reminiscent of both the NWOBHM and the German scene, the Transalpins offer seven new, strong and solid tracks (“Colder Than Heaven”, “Reinventing The Fire”, “Taken By Force”). And since tradition does not exclude modernity, far from it, GENGIS KHAN does not lack creativity ("Time To Kill", "He’s The King").
