Welcome to the Vault is a 3 CD + DVD collection with 52 tracks and 21 live performances on DVD. Among the tracks are 38 previously unreleased recordings and alternative versions, of which 5 songs have never been available before. The DVD contains rare live material from the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, Don Kirshner's Rock Concert 1973, ABC In Concert 1974, a 1970 Fillmore West concert, Pine Knob Michigan 1982, a joint appearance by Steve and luthier Les Paul on Fat Tuesdays (1990 ) and from the show at Austin City Limits 2011.
