Def Leppard is a British rock band from Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, formed in 1977. Their style has undergone a number of changes over the years, moving from hard rock to glam metal. Def Leppard debuted as an NWOBHM group with the album "On Through the Night" in 1980.
The band's popularity peaked in 1984-89, when their platinum albums "Pyromania" and "Hysteria" were released. The singles from the album "Hysteria" were the most successful of their career: "Love Bites" (# 1 in the US), "Pour Some Sugar On Me" (# 2 in the US), "Armageddon It" (# 3 e place in the USA). In 1995, they were entered in the Guinness Book of Records as the only performers who performed on three continents within one day (London - Hercules Caves - Vancouver).
