In September 1979 JETHRO TULL released their album Stormwatch and finished their folk-rock trilogy, which they had started with Songs From The Wood and continued with Heavy Horses. The US-Gold Award winning album was also the last JETHRO TULL album in the classic JETHRO TULL line-up of the late seventies, which came from Ian
Anderson, Martin Barre, John Glascock, John Evan, David (now Dee) Palmer and Barrimore Barlow.
For the 40th anniversary of the album Rhino now releases the Stormwatch: 40th Anniversary Force 10 Edition .
The brand new 4CD/2DVD set will be released on October 18th.
Among the highlights of the collection are:
- The original album and related recordings, remixed by Steven Wilson
- The complete concert from the Netherlands from March 1980
- A direct transmission of the original mix from 1979 in 96/24 LPCM Stereo
- 15 album-related recordings in 96/24 stereo mix and five original mixes in 96/24 LPCM stereo
- The whole in a bound DVD book with a detailed history of the album, track-by-track comments by Anderson and Palmer, rarely shown photographs and more.
