Metal on Metal Records has announced that the debut full-length of the French dark heavy metal band SACRAL NIGHT “Ancient Remains” will be out on May 10th. The album was originally planned for last year’s release, but it took them longer to record. It also marks the change on the vocal position: now the band’s bass player and founder Amphycion, who was the singer for heavy metal act SANCTUAIRE, took over the vocal duties. According to the label, “SACRAL NIGHT’s music is very difficult to label and doesn’t really sound like any other band – with mostly clean vocals and macabre feeling, they stand at the crossroads of heavy metal and black/death metal. Without a doubt, it’s an intense, unique and personal sounding album. Check it out if you’re into any of these bands: SANCTUAIRE (Fra.), ATTIC, BEWITCHED (Chl.), SATAN’S HOST, DISSECTION, IN SOLITUDE, early DEATH, TRIBULATION and early DEATH SS.”
