Australia never was a prolific land for AOR bands, but some good outfits come out from the land of wiz. Safire is one of ’em, they play an infectious melodic hard rock / AOR music.

Their name appears quite often on various want lists. So what’s behind this band? I think everyone who’s into the first two releases from BON JOVI would love this ultrarare and extremely costly one and it will be a good turn to any “real” collector. SAFIRE reminds me especially on the glorious eighties US Melodic Rock, which is done very well and presented for all the radiostations too. The vocals are first class and pleasantly done. Nevertheless, I miss something on this release, I think a few more up-tempo songs would have been much better for a better change.

This 6 track only CD keep you interested from start to finnish, with catchy songs. Great production for an indie release. So, I am not sure if this disc is everybody’s thing, but if you appeal the lines above you will feel on the top of the world with SAFIRE, provided that you will ever see any copy offered.
