"Let's Dance Tonight" from the Karlsruhe citizens Dead Man's Boogie did with their first LP a clear statement towards rock with roots in the seventies. However, it must be made clear that there is no retro fraction is at work, but the eleven songs show a fairly wide spectrum, ranging from Stoner, alternative, heavy metal to punk.
With "Revolution, Baby" specifies the strings department towards a successful debut. Fat Groove lined with tempo changes, awaken the senses and clear the way for other sounds of the same kind. That they have all styles of grip, prove Dead Man's boogie across clearly labeled "From The Ashes", a ballad with some supporting elements, but also abusive riffs and "Lighthouse" in which complement each other riffs and leads to a slowly increasing melody competent. "Why You", also in the intersection of the ballad, clearly shows that they can connect hymns and good melodies excellent. A track that is definitely one of the highlights on this album. With two guitars, bass and drums while riff monsters are not necessarily produced, but the receiver is at least in the permanent guard mode and is ready for more pleasing sounds. Dead Man's Boogie respond as desired and tap more fat metal riffs in rock landscape. But this is not necessarily true for "Life That Was My Own", another track from her ballads fundus, which also constitutes the distinctive voice of lead singer as not to be listening asset.
This all fits in "The Crypt", which sets new priorities in the best Heavy Metal rhythm. Not a patchwork of different styles on this album is fortunately celebrated, but rock went full steam, producing a rich framework in which rhythm bass and drums, and so let the classic ballad to metallic chorus, a common line visible. Strong rock songs that contain partially grandiose post-rock elements and not indiscriminately any rock greats pay tribute.
Even the output rocker "Burn It Down" and "" Big Ol 'D' move at the top of the quality scale. Partial behave somewhat experimental, but without getting bored, but then with fresh guitar inserts with convincing vocal lines a strong album end
