Hailing from the US East area, 8084 or ‘Eight-Oh-Eight-Four’ first two albums are highly appreciated by the AOR / melodic rock community. In November of 1982, 8084 performed their first show together with the current line-up: Andre Maquera, Randy Smith, Frank Barnes, and Gary Spaulding, plus the late Charlie Hawthorne. For the past 40 years, the band has built a following of die-hard fans throughout North America and Europe.
To celebrate the band’s 40 years of rock, they are releasing ”40 Double D”, containing the remastered first 1987 (8084 self-titled) and second 1989’s (Love & War) albums on one disc.
Both albums are prime examples of classic 80s pomp AOR like Le Roux or Fortune, plus melodic rock akin the first Autograph, Aldo Nova, etc.
