1370923101_frontTime and again it's amazing that especially Melodic Rock produces those so-called "super-groups". THE SIGN is another addition to the long list of that category, because all members are known from at least one other band: Keyboarder Mark Mangold (TOUCH, AMERICAN TEARS, DRIVE SHE SAID, FLESH & BLOOD, MYSTIC HEALER), guitarist Randy Jackson (ZEBRA), singer Terry Brock (STRANGEWAYS, LE ROUX), bassist Billy Greer (STREETS, KANSAS) and drummer Bobby Rondinelli (RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH, BLUE OYSTER CULT).

With that the musical marching route already is set, Melodic Rock in its purest form, in the centre between JOURNEY, KANSAS, STRANGEWAYS and the others. Just like you could expect, the quintet shows an enormous amount of routine and maturity in creating an album that will warm each genre-fan's heart. Additionally a concept about a young girl brought back from the coma is the basis for the lyrics. I for sure am not somebody, who expects ground-breaking evolution from each band and every album, but still "Signs Of Life" contains nothing that would make the band something really special, the memory-effect is rather small, yet for listening to it in the background, it is more than suitable.
