Founded in 2002 by Rhythm Guitarist Leigh Van Hell and Vocalist Julian Mephisto, after Van Hell's previous rock outfit the infamous Voodoo Lovecats (Horror Show Records) had disbanded. Completing the line up is Trixxi Trash on Bass, Nikk Murder on Drums (Ex Flesh Hounds/ Boy Dot Com) and Dave Scythe on Lead Guitar.

Drawing influence from their Glam Metal idols such as Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot, Ratt, Poison, Pretty Boy Floyd and Kiss and taking horror style themes similar to Alice Cooper and The Misfits, The Deadthings created their very own style of a darker and more aggressive Glam Metal. With their no holds barred Hairspray and Make Up appearance The Deadthings unleash their Blood, Guts Hooks and Looks upon their audience with a non-stop high energy live show that features all the frills of a Stadium Glam Metal Concert.

In 2004 The Deadthings released their debut EP When Hell Sleazes Over through Automatic distribution to critical acclaim from Rock journalists world wide including a stellar review in UK magazine Classic Rock. Following the release the band toured extensively throughout Australia to a consistently increasing audience and including an opening spot for Former Murderdolls vocalist Wednesday 13 on his Australian tour.

With their new first full length release Who Killed Holly Would? available in Australia through Automatic Distribution and soon to be released worldwide, The Deadthings are poised to take the next step.

The album reflects the growth in song writing and musicianship while still retaining their Shout-Along anthems gaining them a 9.5/10 review from Sleaze Metal.com and the track "Forever Damned" onto the Perris Records "Holywood Hairspray Vol.5" Compilation CD.

The Deadthings recently (Oct. 06) embarked on a US tour seeing them share the stage with Glam metal giants LA Guns and Pretty Boy Floyd as well as other Hollywood favourites The Starfuckers, Revlon Red and Toxic Twist. While tearing it up live in Los Angeles The Deadthings were also the featured front cover and article of the prestigious LA music paper Rock City News (Sept 29/06)
