Longtime readers of HD (or UK-based music lovers) will remember Just Jack’s sublime “Embers” and “The Day I Died” from his 2009-released album, All Night Cinema, and although he released an EP in 2012 (Rough/Ready), the
Brighton-based artist has been on idle for quite some time. Perhaps he’s now ready to shake the dust off and get back into the saddle of releasing new music, though, because today, the vocalist is releasing a brand-new single, “Winning”, with absolutely no ounce of artistic disappointment detected on the free-flowing, easy-listening, disco-soaked affair that’s going to jump-start everyone’s love for his music. As he prepares to release a new EP, Winning, too, on September 1st, there’s perhaps no better way to get acquainted with the guy’s work than with this very track.
